Withdrawal instructions & refund policy
Important: no statutory cooling-off period in the US – refunds after the download are voluntary
US law does not give a general right to cancel a digital-content purchase because you changed your mind: the FTC Cooling-Off Rule covers door-to-door and off-premises sales, not sales made entirely online. Once you have unlocked CVwerk Premium and/or downloaded your resume as a PDF, refunds are therefore granted under our own refund policy below, not by statute. If the product was not delivered, or not delivered as agreed, federal order-fulfilment rules and your card issuer's billing-error rules may give you further rights.
1. What is being sold?
CVwerk offers CVwerk Premium – a one-time payment of €7.99 (tax inclusive, charged in euros) that unlocks the PDF export of your resume (all templates, without watermark) as well as other premium features. This is digital content provided immediately after purchase. Payment is processed by our payment service provider and seller (Merchant of Record) Freemius (Freemius, Inc.).
2. Cancellation and delivery
You may cancel your order at any time before the premium feature is unlocked; in that case we refund the purchase price. Because the product is delivered instantly, there is no statutory cooling-off period after the PDF export has been delivered and the sale is complete.
To cancel before delivery, or to raise a problem with an order, email us at info@cvwerk.com with your order or payment reference. Contact us within 14 days of purchase in every case and we will review the matter individually.
3. Delivery of digital content
The premium feature and the PDF export are delivered immediately after a successful payment, and in any event within the time stated at checkout. If we are unable to deliver, we offer you the choice of a delay or a cancellation with a prompt refund; refunds are sent without unnecessary delay.
4. Refunds (Refund Policy)
Because CVwerk Premium is delivered immediately, there is no general entitlement to a refund after the PDF has been downloaded. The cases below are our voluntary policy and we honour them in full.
As a gesture of goodwill, we will nevertheless refund the purchase price if one of the following cases applies:
- The premium feature was not unlocked despite a successful payment.
- The PDF export does not work due to a technical error on our side and cannot be resolved.
- You were accidentally charged twice or charged incorrectly.
Please contact us within 14 days of purchase at info@cvwerk.com and provide your order or payment reference. Each case is reviewed individually.
- Approved refunds are processed via Freemius to the payment method originally used (usually 5–10 business days).
- Since this is a one-time payment, there is no subscription and therefore nothing to cancel.
