What the test covers
We check the technical readability of an exported resume: is every section extractable, in the right order, with headings screening software recognises? Tables, columns and text boxes are the usual failure points.
How we build the test
We generate resumes from the same templates you can use, fill them with realistic Canadian sample content (job titles, dates, diplomas, certifications) and export them as a PDF.
What we extract
Contact details, profile, work experience with dates, education, certifications and references. Missing or reordered fields cost a point.
Keywords and job titles
Canadian recruiters and ATS software search by keyword. We check that the terms from a sample posting survive the export unchanged, including certificates and bilingual requirements.
French accents and characters
We verify that é, à, ç and œ survive extraction, so a French resume is read exactly as written – important for Quebec applications.
What the test does not do
It cannot predict an interview and it does not judge your content. It only says whether the document can be read reliably by the software in front of it.

FAQ
No. It only shows that the software can read your resume; people still decide based on the content.
No. Single-column designs in our gallery are built for this; any clean layout without tables works.
PDF unless the posting asks for .docx – our PDFs contain selectable text, not images.
Yes, as long as accents are extracted correctly. We test that explicitly, because Quebec postings often require a French resume.
Enter your resume in a structured way, check the preview and export the PDF – the same PDF we use in our tests.
