What the test covers
We check the technical readability of an exported CV: can the portal extract every section, in the right order, with headings it recognises? Tables, columns and text boxes are the usual failure points.
How we build the test
We generate CVs from the same templates you can use, fill them with realistic Australian sample content (job titles, dates, qualifications, licences) and export them as a PDF.
What we extract
Contact details, professional summary, work history with dates, qualifications, licences and referees. Missing or reordered fields cost a point.
Keywords and job titles
Australian recruiters and panels search by keyword, and government portals rank against the selection criteria. We check that the terms from a sample advert survive the export unchanged.
Australian spelling and characters
We verify that spelling such as organise and colour and characters like – and ' survive extraction, so nothing is mangled before a panel reads it.
What the test does not do
It cannot predict an interview, and it does not judge the content or your selection-criteria statement. It only says whether the document can be read reliably by the software in front of it.

FAQ
No. It only shows that the portal can read your CV correctly; the decision is made by people.
No. Single-column designs in our gallery are built for this; any clean layout without tables works.
A PDF with selectable text, unless the advert asks for something else.
Yes, in a separate section at the end – tell them first so they are not surprised.
Fill in your CV in a structured way, check the preview and export the PDF – the same PDF we use in our tests.
