What the test covers
We assess the technical readability of an exported resume: is every section extractable, in the right order, with the standard headings screening software looks for? Tables, columns, headers and text boxes are the usual failure points.
How we build the test
We generate resumes from the same templates you can use, fill them with realistic US sample content (job titles, dates, degrees, certifications) and export them exactly as you would, as a PDF.
What we extract
Contact block, summary, work experience with dates, education and skills. If a field is missing, reordered or merged with another line, the layout loses a point.
Keywords and job titles
US recruiters search by keyword and many systems rank by match. We check that terms from a sample posting – job title, tools, certifications – survive the export unchanged.
Special characters
We verify that $, %, – and accented characters in names survive extraction, so nothing is mangled before a recruiter reads it.
What the test does not do
It cannot predict an interview and it does not judge your content. It only says whether the document you send can be read reliably by the software in front of it.

FAQ
No. It only shows that your resume can be read correctly by the software; people still make the decision, based on the content.
No. The single-column templates in our gallery are built for this; any clean layout without tables or graphics works.
PDF unless the posting asks for .docx. Our PDFs contain selectable text rather than images, so the content stays searchable.
US resumes do not include photos, so leaving it out removes both a formatting and a discrimination risk.
Enter your resume in a structured way, check the preview and export the PDF – the same PDF we use in our tests.
