Terms & Conditions – Usage Rules

CVwerk offers an online service for creating professional Resumes. The platform enables users to:

• Create and edit Resumes online
• Use various professional designs
• View a preview of the Resume
• Save created Resumes in their account

Basic access (creating, editing, saving and previewing) is provided free of charge. The ad-free download of the Resume as a PDF without a watermark is a paid premium service (see section 5).

Registration is required to use the service and to purchase the premium export. Truthful information must be provided during registration, and you must keep your login credentials confidential and protect them from access by third parties. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase the premium service; if you are under 18 you may use the free service only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

The user has no claim to a specific username. We reserve the right to refuse registrations without giving reasons.

The ad-free PDF download without a watermark is offered as "CVwerk Premium". This is a one-time payment – there is no subscription and no recurring charge.

The paid contract is concluded when the user submits the order during the checkout process by clicking the "order with obligation to pay" button (or "Unlock now") and the payment is successfully completed. A registered user account is required, as the premium entitlement is assigned to the account.

After successful payment, the premium feature is automatically and permanently (lifetime) unlocked for the user account.

The price of CVwerk Canada Premium is a one-time payment of €7.99 (taxes included). The total price is clearly displayed before the order is completed; there is no subscription and no recurring charge.

Sales and payment processing are handled by our reseller Freemius, Inc. (4023 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807, USA). Freemius acts as the Merchant of Record (reseller) and handles the processing of the payment, the invoicing, as well as the calculation and remittance of VAT. In this respect, the terms and conditions of Freemius apply additionally (freemius.com).

Depending on availability, common credit and debit cards as well as other payment methods offered by Freemius are accepted as means of payment. The invoice is provided to the user by Freemius via email after the purchase.

There is no general cooling-off right for digital content in Canada. Cancellation rights for online purchases come from the consumer protection law of your province or territory – for example Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002, Quebec's Consumer Protection Act, or British Columbia's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act – and apply mainly where required information was not disclosed, no copy of the agreement was sent, or delivery is late. Those rights cannot be waived by these terms.

The windows, grounds and refund periods that apply in your province are set out in our cancellation and refund policy.

The user undertakes:

• To use the platform only for lawful purposes
• Not to create any abusive or fraudulent content
• Not to infringe the rights of third parties
• Not to use any automated systems for the mass creation of Resumes

The Resumes created by the user remain the property of the user. CVwerk makes no ownership claims to the content of users.

The designs, templates and other content provided on the website are protected by copyright and may only be used within the scope of using CVwerk.

We accept no liability for:

• The constant availability of the website
• The error-free nature of the created documents
• The success of an application using the created Resumes

Nothing in this clause limits the statutory warranty or cancellation rights you have under the consumer protection law of your province or territory. The user is responsible for checking the created resume for accuracy and completeness before use.
