Applying as a Apprenticeship: what matters
UK apprenticeships are advertised by the employer and often by a training provider as well, so the CV has to work for both. Keep it to one page of A4 and put your qualifications near the top: the GCSE subjects you have taken, the grades you hold or expect, and whether English and maths are already at grade 4 or above.
Name the level you are applying for, because intermediate, advanced and higher apprenticeships start from different points. Then show that you know what the trade involves. A work experience placement, a weekend job, a repair project at home or a club you help run all count, as long as you describe what you actually did.
Most vacancies also ask for a short covering letter or a personal statement on the application form, so keep a paragraph ready that explains why this trade and this employer. Off-the-job training, usually one day a week at a college, is part of the deal, and it helps to say that you are happy to attend.
