What is an ATS check?
Most companies first screen applications with software (an Applicant Tracking System, ATS). It matches your CV against the requirements of the role - if it is not a good fit, it is often filtered out before a human ever sees it. This check simulates exactly that and shows you in advance how well your CV matches the job.
